Thoughts as signposts

0:00 --:--

What if the persistence of a thought or belief didn’t actually mean that it was true?

.

Throughout the day, many of us encounter thoughts like, I’m not good enough, I did something wrong, or I wish I was different.

And because we’re not shown an alternative way of relating to those experiences, we fall right into getting tangled and identified with those beliefs.

.

But what if the usual way we interpret the presence of a thought or belief is based on a misunderstanding? How would your experience change if you viewed thoughts as signposts instead of true statements?

.

Often, when an uncomfortable or distressing thought about ourselves arises again and again in awareness, it’s a signal from our system that we need to slow down and touch into the energetic nature of our being, and give some time and space to an aspect of ourselves that we’ve innocently overlooked.

.

What if insecurity was actually an invitation for self-compassion, embrace, and curiosity? What if self-doubt wasn’t actually about you, but a reminder to shift attention from the mind to the heart and live from your inherent wholeness?
